OPENING CEREMONY AND RECEPTION – Hynes Convention Center
6:30pm – 9:00pm
Within walking distance of the conference hotels, plan to officially kick-off your conference experience with the Opening Ceremony taking place in the Auditorium of the John B. Hynes Convention Center.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Dr. David Nathan and the finishing touches are being made to the remainder of the ceremony and entertainment. Following the ceremony, you will proceed to the reception which will be held in the Third Floor Foyer, which offers spectacular views of Boston Back Bay. Do not miss this opportunity to socialize with your colleagues from around the world!

BLUE MAN GROUP - The Charles Playhouse, 74 Warrenton Street

Join your colleagues on Friday evening for an exciting performance by the Blue Man Group—a creative organization dedicated to creating exciting and innovative work in a wide variety of media. Best known for their wildly popular theatrical shows and concerts, the Blue Man Group combines music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment. The blissful party atmosphere created at their live events has become the trademark of a Blue Man Group experience.
The Blue Man Group does use a variety of materials on stage, where at times will reach into the audience close to the stage. While it does not happen all the time, we do strongly suggest that you wear casual attire. Jeans and sneakers are ideal.
Tickets are $65 USD per person and can be purchased via the SIOP registration website until September 15, 2010. The Charles Playhouse is within walking distance from most of the SIOP Boston 2010 conference hotels. The performance will begin promptly at 7:00pm. Please plan to arrive at the theater 20 minutes prior to the show.

The Museum will be open for viewing. Transportation will be provided to and from the Convention Center and major convention hotels. Buses will begin to depart for the Gala at 6:30pm and return from 9:00pm – 11:15pm.
